My deposit with card/Apple Pay was cancelled but I was still charged

If you tried to make a deposit with your card or Apple Pay and left the confirmation screen before completing it (for example, by closing the tab or the app), you may see a related movement on your bank account, even though the deposit was never actually completed.

Why does this happen?
When a payment isn't completed, our system registers the transaction as cancelled. However, your bank may have applied a temporary hold on the amount at the time of the attempt. This hold is released automatically, but depending on the bank, it may be displayed in different ways — some show it as "pending," while others may even show it as a "refund" in progress.

A real example: some banks, like Revolut, display these movements as "Refund — waiting for funds," showing an estimated date when the amount will become available. This doesn't mean we charged and then refunded you — it's simply how your bank manages the release of the hold.

How long does it take to resolve?
Usually between 1 and 5 business days, depending on your bank. If your bank shows you a specific release date, you can go by that information.

What should I do?
You don't need to do anything — the process completes automatically on your bank's side. If the amount still hasn't appeared in your account after that time, you can contact our support team and we'll look into it with you.
